Exec says loading of USC capacities high, 113 ships being built

ST. PETERSBURG, Nov 5 (PRIME) -- Loading of capacities of all companies of Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) is very high, the company is constructing 113 civil ships at the moment, Chairman of the Board of Directors Georgy Poltavchenko told President Vladimir Putin late on November 3.

“Loading of the companies is very high. Moreover, I can say that some companies that are capable of fulfilling certain orders are not submitting bids for auctions because they are loaded with so much work that they would be unable to ensure a timely start of new construction … We are now implementing 113 civil orders,” he said.

It is tough for USC to build good relations with its customers, as the company is trying to strike the right balance between the terms and prices of contracts and quality of its work, he added.
